Riverview Skating Club

Club History

The Riverview Skating Club was founded in 1975 after the Newport Rink was built to provide a place where the children of Hants County could have a place to learn to skate. Over the years thousands of area youngsters (over 100 per year) have learned to skate, most going on to other things after learning the basics, but a few continuing on in figure skating or hockey. Details from the first few years have become lost over time and we would appreciate anyone who can fill in the blanks letting us know. Following is a brief overview of significant events in our history.
